Point to Point

In 2009 Kayley moved to Devon and assisted Richard in his Point to Point operation at Big Brook Park. When the decision was made to take out a National Hunt licence in 2012 Kayley took over the running of the yard at Big Brook whilst the National Hunt yard was formed at Nethercott Manor. Since then Kayley has sent out more than 100 winners between the flags and several Hunterchase winners. The yard has been the leading Devon & Cornwall Point to Point yard on several occasions and has twice finished in the top 3 Nationally. Highlights have been to achieve leading Novice Gelding and leading Novice Mare in the same season with Jepeck & Miss Gotaway, proving the teams' ability to produce and educate the young horses. Older horses are also catered for with a varied regime and plenty of ex National Hunt horses have thrived on the pointing scene at Big Brook with the likes of Steeltown, who arrived with a dubious attitude and then with a bit of a new regime went on to win 9 races.

The Point to Point yard now runs alongside the National Hunt operation in a separate barn but with access to all of the same facilities and individual care. From the 2018/19 season it will be headed by Neil McLean as the 'keeper' and there is no better person to oversee this side of the yard.
